cloudy mode..

Right now, Im not so happy. This is bcoz Mr. Someone is very busy!! May be he is trying to be the next President of Malaysia or is it the next US President.. Im not so sure about that. Mayb you have to ask him yourself.. At least he should inform me earlier what he is up to or even send few msg when he has the time.. Dont tell me he dont have any time for the cute lady that he claim to be the most dearest to him...

after 10 weeks in AD..

Time is really flying!!! This morning, when I thick off my calendar (every morning routine.. without a miss), then I realize that I had been staying 10 weeks already in this Arab country.. I can still remember my 1^st day in Abu Dhabi clearly.. Now, I will be staying for another 10 weeks here, and soon go back to Malaysia.. I will going to miss this place for sure.. This piece of land which I would describe as a land for rich people.. =)

I’m getting use to office life. As an internship student, I’m required to help here and there where possible. They had placed me under the Hr & Admin section. So my job mainly is to type the Hr form which is endless.. =) But for this two weeks, the bosses are not around as they had go back for vacation. So, there is nothing for me to do. For this two weeks, I just come to work idly and wondering blindly.. hehehe I feel sinful too, but just relax and enjoy it while it last.. oh there is a new worker in the company, Kak Ira. She sits next to me. Thanks God, at last, I have someone to talk to and a friend to share stories with. You see, it is quit boring when we don’t have buddy in the office (I mean sitting next to us, rite??) And she treat me like her baby sister too =)

At home, I’m more close to the kids nowadays. I will spend some time watching a Malay/ Indonesian series (bawang merah bawang putih, Magika, Senario) with Aisya (she is 12 years old BTW). If nothing to do, I will be searching the net, read up my book or do some cleaning up. Normally I Skype with my mom on Friday morning and also Monday morning. YM with Mr. Husband the whole day and we will Skype when he is free..

Now, talking bout food, I usually eat bread more than anything else. If we go outing, then I will buy some special food. I normally eat bread with creekers, bread with salad, fruits, meggi noodle, etc. You see, the office organize a party quit often. If there is any staff leaving, birthday or any special occasion, then I will get the chance to eat nice food for free. And I really love it bcoz I eat a lot rite.. =) and I will keep the leftovers too..

Owh, I almost forget to tell you guys that the Malaysian Community is organizing the Ambassador Cup 2011. There are few game that are being highlighted such as Badminton, Bowling, Captain ball, Football and.. (I cant recalled the last one).. So I’m participating the Captain Ball. It is similar or more like the Netball, but since the game will be played in Dubai and they did not have the pole, so one of the member must stand on the chair and catch the ball that is being thrown to her. I guess that is the only different between Netball and Captain Ball. I did not know who invent this game. I just heard it now.. So, by now, you can already guess who will be that pole rite? Yes it is me who is acting like the pole. During the first meeting, I had already introduced my self “hi, Im Fatima, the pole of the game”… so the job is secured and were given to me.. Wish me luck everybody!! The Abu Dhabi team is going to play all out as they want to win the cup. The game is schedule next Friday (11/2/2011) in Dubai.

Our (Aini & me) outing activity had been a bit slow now as Kak Fat is on vacation. There is no one to drive us around. We had tried the bas last Thursday nite. And we had a great time although a bit tired.

What else? I guess that’s all that is happening around me now. I will continue writing and updating you later k..

How are you? It is the Chinese New Year atmosphere back in Malaysia.. But here, it is just like any other days in the year. Owh I would say that I envy them that they are getting lots of holidays!! Owh whatever..

I’m a bit bored now as kak fat and the big boss is not around. So there is no one to check on me, what I’m doing etc.. I should ask kak fazimah what to do, but I’m a bit lazy to do so.. Just wandering around through the net and eat something in mean while.. hehehehe

I had completed the proposal, so I’m waiting for the reply from my advisor in case if I need to make any correction wherever necessary. What sould I do now???!!! Any suggestion??

Thanks for reading this blog.. I’m so sorry that I had not been writing for this past few days.. Dear hubby will be arriving early tomorrow morning. So, I had been busy cleaning up the room, toilet etc. Plus, I’m quit busy in the office nowadays..

My boyfriend is coming to visit me soon!! Im so excited.. Thanks dear for spending some of your precious time with me. And thanks for spending your time looking for the things that I had asked you to bring all the way from Malaysia.. Million thanks..  Can’t wait to see you in another 10 days!!

1. It is Friday!! My only day off in a week..
2. We are going outing on Friday. Either to the mall or go to any event held in the country
3. I can Skype with my mom once a week!!
4. I can practice my Arabic and my Urdu too
5. There is a party as the food is free and I can eat as much as I want!!
6. I go for a hot shower either at night or in the morning!! The feeling is just so great!!
7. I go to bed at night!!  The whether is cold and it is lovely…
8. I got a mushy2 SMS from dear hubby… huhu Just love it!!
9. I got a reply from my advisor on how to do my project Paper..
10. There are things that I like in the mall and they are having a crazy2 sale!! Like 90% sale?! Huhu being greedy enough!!

I hate it when....

1. It is winter and the hot water is not working properly, it is so cold to make Wudu to pray.
2. It is winter and they still switch on the air conditioner.. It is damn cold!!!
3. I watch “Yusuf Al-Sadiq” and I did not understand a word that they are talking about.. (The maid has to be my translator. Even an Indonesian can pick up that language)
4. There are so many places I wanted to visit or look around but either there is not enough time or my feet and body can hardly move any more.
5. There is so many winter coat on sale but I have to save up my money rather than spend for all those coat.. (Malaysia is a very hot country, I have to keep that in mind)
6. I have to spend Dhs30 and above just for a meal!!!
7. I have no one to discuss with when I have problem in doing my Project Paper..
8. I want to Skype and no one is online…
9. Dear Hubby sometimes is too jealous when he find out I email with someone opposite gender quit often..
10. Dear Hubby have to go somewhere and there is no connection which mean we cant YM and we can only communicate through SMS..(It is quit expensive)

triple happiness

I’m extremely happy today!!!

• I’ll be following kak Fat to the Malaysian Award night in Dubai. It is a new experience for me..

• Hubby decided to visit next month!!

• I just got my 1^st salary!! I’m over the moon.. But remember the key word?! SAVE 

After 2 weeks working..

Salaams..

The day goes by so fast. And without I realize it, I had been staying here for almost 2 weeks. I can already adapt with the culture and also environment. No more complaining, just take the life as it is.

Office life, I get used to it already. Wake up and prepare for work. Work the whole day and go back. Relax little bit and off to bed.

For the whole 2 weeks (about 10 days actually) I try to finish the task given to me – the job description remember?? Finally I manage to finish it up. So happy and relieve. =)

Mr. Allan had asked about the topic of my thesis for the 2^nd time. Still not ready with it. But today I had already have an idea. And I going to see him later in the evening.. Please wish me luck k everyone..

I have few friends that I am close to in the office.

Rachel – She is one of the Philippines workers here. She is kind and sweet. She is a year older than I am. She works in the purchasing department. Before this she had an experience of working in the bank for 5 years if im not mistaken. We get along pretty well. But today, she had news that really breaks my heart!! She will be transferred to the other office which is situated in al-falah (about 15 minute drives from here. We are friends for only 2 weeks?? Who are I am going to talk to after this?? =(  

This is life. We meet a new person and the new day we will have to depart with them. But lives have to go on. Good bye Rachel.. All the best k. hope to meet you again next time..

Marvin – He is the office boy in our office. He is kind too. He will clean up the office, mop, sweep etc. normally I only see women or lady doing these stuff. I respect him for what he is doing as not many men are willing to do this job. He is also a Philippines. Sometime we talk and he s a nice boy.

fisrt working day!!

Hi dear readers,

How are you guys?? Hope that you all are fine!! As for me here, I’m not in a good condition. I got flu recently. So sorry coz I did not write for quit sometimes. There are so many things that I want to share with all of you. And now, I did not know which one to start first =(

Ok I guess I will write about my office first ok!!

My office where I do my practical training is not far from where I stay. I can even walk there but did not try it yet..hehe. it is a house that had been converted into an office. So my first day in the office was 27/11. Here, the working days is from Saturday till Thursday for the private sector. And as for the government, they have Friday and Saturday as the day off. That mean I will only get 1 day off.. =(

So, on the first day, there was nothing much for me to do. At first, I just sat on my place (they had provide a place for me with a laptop.. right in front of the office. I cant really play here and there) and I almost fall asleep coz nothing to do. Then Kak fat (you know who I mean right) ask me to type the job description. I was placed under the admin department.  Finally I have something to do.. 

Later the boss or the CEO of the company (Mr. Allan) called me. I was so nervous at that time. Then he asks about the topic that im planning to do for the project paper. I was so unprepared. I told him that after I discus with my lecturer, I will come back to him.. oh.. I don’t like meeting him.. 

Then it is the lunch time!! I was hungry by then. Our lunch time is at 12 till 1pm. We brought with us our lunch box to save up. Everyone do the same in fact. Owh, by the way, I did not know what is wrong with the company or the employees.. it is already lunch time n they did not hurry to the pantry. Later, when it almost 1pm then they will go to eat.. hmm all office is the same or just mine is the weirdo??

I just spend the whole day typing!! It is so boring and tiring. I hate office or corporate life. For me, it is better to sit in the class and listen to the lecture. Owh I miss my student life!! I miss my old library!!

I keep on looking at the watch. It is already 5pm and everyone is still in their place doing their work. What time does this office stop?? Then later, I was inform that the office hour end at 5pm but they will do their work till 6pm or 7pm. As I follow kak fat, she will only come back after 7pm. Waa I want to cry coz im so tired!!

Later we go back home. We had simple dinner. I take a bath and straight to the bed!! This is the most tiring day in my life. I was so stressful and miserable..
